Living in America means you are over exposed to violence and harm. From police brutality to mass shootings, our collective psyche is ossified. Movement and dance become performative resistance. With the worldwide debut of FUCK WHITE SUPREMACY, LET’S GET FREE, Cullors challenges the ways isolation impacts our ability to fight back and heal. Using the Electric Slide as her rallying cry, dance is an invitation to shed complicity and examine broader questions of systemic violence and spiritual rejuvenation.
